Eligibilty for Flu Jab 2021-2022

  • Those age 5o years and over 
  • All chideren aged 2-15 on 31 August 2021
  • Those aged 6 months to under 50 years in clinical risk groups 
  • Preganat woman 
  • Those in long-stay residential care homes 
  • Close contacts of immunocompromised  



  • Frontline health and social car staff employed by:

         - A registered residential care or nursing home 

         - Registered domciliary care provider 

         - A voluntary managed hospice provider 

         - Direct payment (personal budgets) and/or personal 

         - Health Budgets, such as personal assistant

Clinically at risks group

  • Respiratory condtions, sha as asthma (needing steroid inhaler or tablets), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including emphysema and bronchitis 
  • Diabetes 
  • Heart conditions, such as heart disease or heart failure 
  • Being overweight - a body mass idex (BMI) of 40 or above 
  • Chronic kidney disease 


  • Liver disease, such as hepatitis 
  • Neurological condtions, such as Parkinsons's disease, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), or Cerevral palsy, stroke
  • A learning disability 
  •  Problems with your spleen, for example, sickle cell, or if you have had spleen removed 
  • A weakened immune system as the results of condtions such as HIV & AIDS, or taling medicines such as sterios or chemotherapy
